From the beginning of history, people had a need for power sources. Torches, candles, oil lamps etc. In the year of 1899 An english inventor named David Misell invited the first ever flashlight. I used three D batteries placed in small tube. They were called flashlight because They could not create a steady beam of light for a long period off time. You needed to turn them off in order for them to "rest". These flashlights used zinc-carbon batteries that could not give "constant current for a long amount of time. in 1922, there were a couple different styled flashlight with cylindrical shapes and different types of batteries. As you can see from the images below, flashlights started off as big boxes with a light build, then tuned into round circular shaped flashlight, into high tech metal flashlights with styles, designs and different shapes. Today you can keep a flashlight on for minutes or even hours.
